Could be a bit lighter, but I love the placement of blocks, and the quilting of course.
I like the second design, but prefer the first one.

The blocks around the outside must be courtyard paving … would be great if we could get paving like that!
I love the peacocks.
Have to admit though that the paving looks better when there are some potted plants on it!

I like the first design … neat, tidy, room for quilting.
Very different, but like the first it is neat, tidy with room for quilting.
I like the colours in these designs too, because on the whole I design quilts to go on beds to keep people warm, and I like to go to bed in a room dedicated and decorated as a peaceful resting place.

So pretty and dainty. I think I may be repeating past comments about the designs in this project file.
More of the same … dainty and pretty, and in my late Mum’s favourite colours.

Electric Quilt allows users to play with blocks of many shapes, including mixing squares and diamonds which can lead to playing with baby blocks. Because I have grown up I added floral arrangements to the blocks to replace the toys or letters of the alphabet on most baby blocks.
I love the first of these two designs but like the addition of pieced blocks on some sides of the blocks.

I like the first design today. Nice mix of interesting pieced and applique blocks.
Also interesting, though because of the shape it looks like a perfect design for a floor mat!

On point setting, quilting motifs based on applique blocks filing empty spaces.
That’s the way I like to see quilts.
What I don’t like seeing are pieced and applique blocks quilted over with an unrelated motif which does nothing to show off the block designs.

There are some interesting shapes created by the background blocks.
Different. Very different in fact.

I don’t like piecing blocks, but I like the design for a pieced quilt.
Another interesting pieced design.

Very interesting applique designs create a very interesting quilt design mixed with pieced blocks.
Love the second design.

Very interesting, and I like it!
Love the centre part, and find the outer blocks form an interesting texture, though not sure that I like it.

Love the design above, and I am interested in what it might look like with a colour update, but at this time of the year I am not getting a lot of play time at the computer. Something to add to the list of things to do in 2023.
Second designis also interesting, and would like time to play with the contrast as well as the colouring.

Very interesting, bit I suspect it may be a little time consuming to make it real!
Also very interesting, and no less time consuming.

You can start with a small hexagon, and add logs around it, though in some of the hexagons here there is applique added to larger hexagons.
I added some full sized hexagons with no logs, just applique, but most have log borders, sometimes one row, sometimes two.
I love the design above, though to be honest I love all of these.
The design possibilities are endless!
All I need is endless time to collect, sort, cut, etc. fabrics to try out just a tiny fraction of the designs I have shared so far.
I have just discovered that assorted shapes ...

Exactly the same colours, but different blocks, and it looks much, much better!

I like the mixture of pieced and applique blocks in the first design more then the pieced only collection of blocks in the second.
read moreLove the applique blocks, not so much the pieced blocks, though the resulting designs are OK.
The first design is my favourite of today’s selection.
I think I might have to play with some different pieced blocks, and sometime in the not to distant future because there are no more designs in this project file, but I think I will keep the same colouring for the applique blocks.

Simple, but with a more elaborate border to frame the interior and the quilting which could fill the spaces.
read moreFar from ordinary, in both arrangement of blocks, and the colour scheme. Looks warm and cozy.
I have to choose the first one as my favourite because I like the border more than in the second one.
I do like the far from ordinary arrangement of blocks in the second.
